BLISTER COATINGS
Blister heat seal coatings are the key component of producing blister pack and fold over card packaging. Blister coating is a specialty adhesive coating that is applied as a liquid to the board. There are two common types of coating available, aqueous and solvent. After the coating is applied, it needs to be allowed to fully cure and dry before the board can be trimmed and die cut for the final product. The blister cell is then filled and the board is bonded to the blister using heat, pressure and time.
The use of stocks other than blister board can result in bonds that are not fiber-tearing or are weak failure-prone bonds. We recommend that our customers use blister board and blister inks to assure the best product.
REMOISTENABLE GLUE
Remoistenable glue is a versatile finishing process that can be applied to a wide variety of products. It is ideal for self-mailers, envelopes, bind-in inserts and business reply cards. Its ease of use for the end user helps boost response rates. Reactivating, sealing and mailing a remoistenable glued product is fast and foolproof.
