Laminating is the process of applying a film to one or two sides of printed material using a thermal or cold set adhesive. The film can add a matte, gloss, or texture to a printed product by controlling the reflection of light. The film also gives the paper or substrate more stability making it more durable. Lamination also enhances the ink colors, the contrast and adds a higher professional grade to the finish of your presentation. Recent improvements in lamination manufacturing have given the consumer the ability to have scuff-free film, linen and brushed textures, and even environmentally friendly films that are not oil based, making them biodegradable.
